BETTER WEATHER AND BETTER START FOR SCHRÖTTER IN VALENCIA

PRESS RELEASE – 1st Practice Day – GP Valencia 2010
INTERWETTEN Honda 125 TEAM – Better weather and better start for Schrötter in Valencia
One week after the Grand Prix of Estoril in Portugal, where the riders got more water than practice sessions because of the never ending rain showers, the first practice day of the season closer in Valencia was a good start for Marcel Schrötter and the Interwetten Honda 125 Team. Schrötter, who finished fifth in the last year’s race in Valencia with a wildcard start, is quite satisfied with the result of today.
Marcel Schrötter, 12 - 1'42.686 (combined times FP1 and FP2):
“The 12th place is quite okay as I could stay with the group this time. I had some problems to get faster than this morning, even though it was colder this morning. Then I found a good rhythm and in the first section of the practice I was fast. I had some problems to keep the line with the soft tyre at the end of the practice, but I was faster than Koyama and Krummenacher, which shows that it cannot be that bad.”
Terrell Thien, Team Manager:
“I am satisfied with the start of this Grand Prix. Now I hope Marcel can stay constant this weekend, so some sponsors may show some interest in him and we can secure his future in the world championship.”
